Our World
The world as we know it is rapidly changing and not all of those changes are for the
better. We are losing the natural world at a frightening pace. If we continue to sleep,
to be unconscious to these changes, we will lose everything. Things that are not
replaceable like polar bears, cedar trees, whooping cranes and wildflowers. As we go
about our busy lives, we like to pretend this cannot or will not happen but it can and it
is happening all around us. We need to slow down, become truly aware of the “every
day” beauty around us and ask ourselves if the natural world is worth saving, if it’s
worth our time. We all need to become involved in OUR world and in preserving the
things worth preserving. This isn’t the job for a few. This is the responsibility of us
all. Never doubt that you alone can make a difference and that all of us together can
make a miracle.
The websites I’ve chosen to highlight here are just a few that can begin to open our
awareness and point us to some of the ways in which we can be involved. Ways in
